Musical and literary event at Samajam

A FOUR-DAY musical and literary programme is being lined up next month by the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS).

It will run from October 14 to 17 and the first night will feature performances by two well-known Indian singers, Jaya Chandran and Miss Gayadri from 7.30pm.

A literary awards ceremony will then take place on October 15, also at 7.30pm, during which Indian Ambassador Dr George Joseph will present Indian writer Dr Sukumar Azhikode with an award for his achievements.

On October 16, again at 7.30pm, Dr Azhikode will hold an interactive literary session, introducing participants to different literary styles.

The four-day event will end with a ceremony at 5am on October 17, during which Dr Azhikode will introduce young children to the world of education during the traditional Vidyarambham ceremony.
