Pillai And Chembali Top Tournament

Unnikrishnan Pillai and Salesh Chembali defeated Jayakumap P and Madhu Menon 21-16, 10-21, 26-24 to clinch the top rated Group Red in the 10th Syed Modi monthly badminton tournament.
The tournament was conducted in four categories, based on the skill level of the players.
In other groups, the winners were Shanto Thomas and Prasobh Ramanathan in Group Green, Sunil Warrier and Kurian George in Group Yellow and Girish C Dev and Riyaz Ibrahim in Group Blue.
This event marked the conclusion of Syed Modi monthly tournaments for the year 2010-2011. The final rankings of the BKS badminton players, based on their performance during the entire year were also published after the event.
Jayakumar P and Unnikrishna Pillai were jointly ranked number one in Group Red. In other groups, the top ranked players for the year were Vinu Raj in Group Green, Asmar V P in Group Yellow and Girish C Dev in Group Blue.
The trophies for the Winners and runners-up were presented by the President of the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, P V Radhakrishna Pillai, Indoor Games Secretary, Ashley George, Assistant Secretary, A Kannan, Membership Secretary, T J Girish and the Internal Auditor, Anilkumar O M.
