Dr K J Yesudas will be honoured at a ceremony by the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam at its BKS Diamond Jubilee Hall, Segaiya, tonight.
Dr Yesudas is considered as one of India's most prominent and prolific artists and has received numerous awards including the Indian government's Padma Shri in 1975, the Padma Bhushan in 2002 and the Unesco Outstanding Achievements in Music and Peace award in 1999.
The ceremony will precede a cultural programme of traditional songs and dances. It will begin at 8pm and is open to the public
