THE Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) will mark the anniversary of its Ladies and Children's Wing on Friday.
The celebration will include variety entertainment programmes being organised by the wing, including a Kinnamkali traditional dance presentation, choreographed by Bahrain-based dance teacher Anila Sunil.
A musical drama visualisation, Njaan Sthree, will also be staged, while children will present a musical play depicting the story of Hindu deity Lord Krishna.
The BKS will also host a reception for GDN associate editor Soman Baby, who received this year's Pravasi Bharathitya Samman award - the highest honour the Indian government confers on non-resident Indians (NRIs)
Chief guest will be Health Minister Dr Faisal Al Hamer.
Special guests will be Indian Embassy charge d'affaires A Ajayakumar, while New Millennium School director Geetha Ravi Pillai will be the guest of honour.
Entry is free and all are welcome.
