BKS LOBBERS won the title in the Seniors Teams category in the ChicKing Bahrain-Kuwait Badminton Tournament, held at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS).
BKS Lobbers clinched their crown after defeating IBAK Blazers 3-2.
Meanwhile, IBAK Junior Boys won their division after beating the BKS Junior Boys 4-3; and the IBAK Junior Girls won their group following a 3-0 sweep against the BKS Junior Girls.
The competition marked the first time a large contingent of players arrived from Kuwait to take part. The visitors, representing the Indian Badminton Association Kuwait (IBAK), comprised 32 senior and 18 junior players.
IBAK president Dr Manimara Chozhan and other IBAK officials accompanied the team.
Four teams each from BKS and IBAK took part in the seniors championship. Each team consisted of seven men and one lady.
In the Junior Boys and Junior Girls categories, there was one team each from BKS and IBAK. The boys consisted of 12 players each and the girls consisted of six players.
The events title sponsor was ChicKing, while the co-sponsor was IPS Trade Middle East.
The tournament was inaugurated by BKS president K Janardhanan and ChicKing managing director Eldhose Mathai, in the presence of other BKS and Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation officials.

Men's Doubles Three: Satheesh and Anto (BKS Lobbers) beat Dr Mani and Tamer (IBAK Blazers) 21-13, 21-12
Men's Singles: Tamer (IBAK Blazers) beat Jayakumar P (BKS Lobbers) 21-12, 21-14
Mixed Doubles: Madhu Menon and Jayasree Nair (BKS lobbers) beat Jabbar and Uttara (IBAK Blazers) 21-11, 21-16
